May 20, 2012, the miraculous view of a solar eclipse was seen throughout all of Southern Utah. It was a beautiful sight to witness. The druids believed that the solar eclipse was a sign of the rebirth of the sun. I found this to be true while sitting in the brief darkness. My ancestors believed that the sun represented self, spirit, creativity and willpower. They also believed that the moon represented human emotions and memories.
When the moon crossed in front of the sun, it became a little bit darker, however the light was still visible. The emotions and memories of the past, not always good, could not hide the light for long. The sun is powerful and its willpower to shine over the shadows is immaculate. This is why the event of the solar equinox was so important. The Gaels did not recognize time as a structure. They looked at time as a thread that God held in his hands. When these incredible signs presented themselves to the earth, they were taken as an opportunity to progress and a sign that the new season of life had begun.
Happy New Beginning, everyone. May your new season of life be filled with prosperity and truth.
